Thank you Harper Collins & NetGalley for my e-ARC of The Au Pair Affair. Tallulah takes on an au pair gig to hockey superstar Sir Savage, and a tense slow-burn immediately follows!

I loved the banter between the two MCs.

I wasnā€™t a huge fall of the third act breakup, and would have liked to see more background about Tallulahā€™s Turkish background.

Didnā€™t stop me from absolutely devouring this over a weekend. I canā€™t wait for the next book, and hope itā€™s Chloe & Sig!

Tallulah is looking for a new adventure. Sheā€™s trying to get out of her shell after a traumatic experience but is not looking for a relationship. Burgess is looking for someone to watch after his daughter while heā€™s out of town playing hockey. Their friends decide they can help each other out, so Tallulah becomes Burgessā€™ au pair.

Itā€™s dual pov, age gap, he falls first, grumpy sunshine, protective MMC, and so many other great troupes.

I went into this pretty open minded. I really enjoy Tessa Baileyā€™s books, but theyā€™re not all 5 stars for me. This one started uncertain. It felt almost cheesy for a chapter or two but wow I got into this quickly. This was one that made me want to kick my feet and not want to stop reading. I devoured this book.

I want to fully disclosed that I did not read the first book before reading this one. Iā€™m definitely going to, but itā€™s still on hold at the library and I just couldnā€™t wait to read this one.

Definitely give this one a chance if you like any of Tessa Baileyā€™s books!

Am I the only one who thought they were going to get locked in the closet together when they were doing the rehearsal? Iā€™m glad they didnā€™t because I think too many set ups by Wells and Josephine would have been overkill, but I thought thatā€™s where that was going. We also didnā€™t get their actual wedding, Iā€™m wondering if that comes up in Sig and Chloeā€™s story. Canā€™t wait for that!

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for a chance to read and review this eARC!

I read this as a palate cleanser after a run of romantasy books and what a cleanser šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ Tessa Bailey has really grown on me, and this was such a cute read. I enjoyed Tallulah & Burgessā€™ growth throughout the novel, and also resonated with parts of Tallulahā€™s self discovery. The complications were somewhat predictable but I didnā€™t care, still loved the vibes.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in return for my honest review!
