Thank you Harper Collins & NetGalley for my e-ARC of The Au Pair Affair. Tallulah takes on an au pair gig to hockey superstar Sir Savage, and a tense slow-burn immediately follows!
I loved the banter between the two MCs.
Tropes

š©µ Age Gap

I wasnāt a huge fall of the third act breakup, and would have liked to see more background about Tallulahās Turkish background.
Didnāt stop me from absolutely devouring this over a weekend. I canāt wait for the next book, and hope itās Chloe & Sig!

Tallulah is looking for a new adventure. Sheās trying to get out of her shell after a traumatic experience but is not looking for a relationship. Burgess is looking for someone to watch after his daughter while heās out of town playing hockey. Their friends decide they can help each other out, so Tallulah becomes Burgessā au pair.
Itās dual pov, age gap, he falls first, grumpy sunshine, protective MMC, and so many other great troupes.
I went into this pretty open minded. I really enjoy Tessa Baileyās books, but theyāre not all 5 stars for me. This one started uncertain. It felt almost cheesy for a chapter or two but wow I got into this quickly. This was one that made me want to kick my feet and not want to stop reading. I devoured this book.
I want to fully disclosed that I did not read the first book before reading this one. Iām definitely going to, but itās still on hold at the library and I just couldnāt wait to read this one.
Definitely give this one a chance if you like any of Tessa Baileyās books!
Am I the only one who thought they were going to get locked in the closet together when they were doing the rehearsal? Iām glad they didnāt because I think too many set ups by Wells and Josephine would have been overkill, but I thought thatās where that was going. We also didnāt get their actual wedding, Iām wondering if that comes up in Sig and Chloeās story. Canāt wait for that!
Thank you to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for a chance to read and review this eARC!

I read this as a palate cleanser after a run of romantasy books and what a cleanser ššš Tessa Bailey has really grown on me, and this was such a cute read. I enjoyed Tallulah & Burgessā growth throughout the novel, and also resonated with parts of Tallulahās self discovery. The complications were somewhat predictable but I didnāt care, still loved the vibes.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in return for my honest review!
