I loved the book. It was hard to put down. Coming from someone who really loves the paranormal it actually didn't make it a cringey "ooooh ghosts" type book like so many have been. It was actually "okay will they actually be able to get out or are they genuinely stuck in this house?" The "deaths" being all linked to the rumors was a little predictable, because duh if there's rumors that's going to be a big part of the book. Same with the fact that it was the wife. They DID mention the wife when mentioning the family the most. So it was a no brainer she'd be the problem causing the house to be so haunted. So while yes predictable it was a very good book. Just took a star off for how predictable it was but overall loved the book.

Was considering DNFing this book and I wish I did. Really did not care about the characters or what happened to them. Ending was quick and not satisfying imo.

I didn't know this book was horror, but i didn't mind it at all. The opposite actually, I'm dying to read another horror book.
But my problem here was, NONE of the chars i liked. All of them were just so infuriating and i didn't feel connected to them at all. Tho the horror was good, ngl.
