A really great addition to the series, maybe even more enjoyable than City of Ghosts! This book has action all the way through! This book was a good adventure in Paris, another very haunted city with rich history. I would love to visit a lot of the places in this book! Cassidy and her parents are there to film more of the ghost story TV show. In this book Cass is more aware of ghosts and she knows how to send them on now. This was an action packed book with a poltergiest who has a sad backstory causing trouble. I have to say in this book Cass proves she is very much a Griffindor, which she proudly claims anyway. She runs into things without really thinking them through and usually it doesn't go as planned. Overall a really quick and fun read with lots of action.

احساس می‌کنم ویکتوریا شواب توی نوشتن کتاب برای کودکان، یه‌مقدار تنبله. جزئیات رو سرسری می‌گیره و حالتی داره که انگار پیش خودش فکر می‌کنه «خب، به همین یه اشاره‌ی کوچولو کنم بسه.» و همین باعث می‌شه نتونم به مجموعه‌ی Cassidy Blakeاش بیش از سه امتیاز بدم. گرچه پایان Tunnel of Bones مشتاقم کرد که جلد سوم رو هم بخونم.
اما برام عجیبه که ندیده‌م کسی به تأثیر این کتاب روی بچه‌ها اشاره کنه. ماجرای کلی (بدون اسپویل داستان) اینه که کسیدی بلیک توی یه دریاچه غرق می‌شه و نزدیک بوده از بین بره، اما نجات پیدا می‌کنه. این مواجهه‌ش با مرگ باعث می‌شه که پرده‌ی میان دنیای زنده‌ها و مرده‌ها براش پیدا باشه و بتونه با دنیای مردگان ارتباط بگیره. یه جا توی جلد دوم، یه دختربچه بهش می‌گه می‌تونی به منم یاد بدی با ارواح ارتباط بگیرم؟ و کسیدی جواب می‌ده یاددادنی نیست، فقط وقتی می‌شه که مواجهه با مرگ داشته باشی. و خب، شاید من زیاد درباره‌ی بچه‌های ده، یازده‌ساله نمی‌دونم، اما این دیالوگ نگرانم می‌کنه. بچه توی این سن خیلی تأثیرپذیره. و خب، شاید این صدای اضطرابمه، اما حس می‌کنم احتمال هر اتفاقی هست. بچه ممکنه به خاطر اینکه بتونه با ارواح حرف بزنه، بره بلایی سر خودش بیاره. :/
خلاصه، نمی‌خوام تبلیغ منفی کنم، ولی ذهنم رو مشغول کرده بود.

in the second book of the cassidy blake trilogy, we are following cassidy as she travels to a new city. the next destination is paris and in this old, historic city she finds herself running into more ghostly issues. we also watch as she figures out how to deal with the knowledge she gained about her abilities in these first book and how that impacts her relationship with her best friend, jacob.
i enjoyed this book just as much as the first!! it is so entertaining to follow along with cassidy on all her adventures. it is always interesting to see how she gets herself out of tough situations and the friendships she forms with unlikely people. it was also heartwarming to see more of jacob and cassidy’s friendship. i also thought this book was a bit more spooky than the first one which made it perfect for this month.
i am excited to pick up the third book!

Secondo libro della serie. Cass, Jacob e I suoi genitori vanno a Parigi per girare la seconda parte del loro show sui fantasmi.
Rispetto al primo libro, i luoghi di questo mi hanno ispirata di più ma comunque non mi hanno detto nulla. Ho lasciato il libro sul comodino per un po' perché avevo un esame da preparare. Il fatto che non abbia nemmeno minimamente pensato di leggerlo la sera per rilassarmi, fa capire quanto non mi abbia appassionato più di tanto da sapere cosa sarebbe successo.
La storia è troppo superficiale e ci sono tanti luoghi comuni sui francesi che denotano una ricerca molto generale dei contenuti usati per la trama. Ok, la protagonista ha tipo 12 anni e la storia è per un pubblico molto giovane, ma non è detto che la storia non possa avere più sostanza e soprattutto, che di cerchi di non scivolare nei soliti stereotipi. Sono un po' delusa perché la Schwab mi piace molto. Posso solo pensare che questo era l'intento, visto che la protagonista è giovane e non è mai stata in Francia, quindi conosce solo informazioni superficiali su quel paese e le sue usanze.
Una cosa che mi è piaciuta è che finalmente sappiamo di più su Jacob il fantasma. Sono curiosa su come si concluderà la storia, ma leggerò l'ultimo libro solo perché è molto breve, sappiatelo.
