I thought it was okay. The storyline just wasn’t for me and I just couldn’t get into the second book of the duet I just felt not complete.

If She Says Yes is the perfect age gap, taboo, spicy read! Perfect for reading by the pool which is what I did with a glass of wine always within arms reach.
We are following Tomás, a 32 year old Mexican-American, is flying down to Charleston to be best man at his best friend’s wedding. The one and only problem? He has been lusting after said best friend’s mom since he was 19 years old. Darcy, a 55 year old Black woman, is about to say goodbye to her son as he marries the love of his life and begins his own family. That coupled with residual emotions over the loss of her cheating husband, she is struggling to find herself. She’s always been a mom and a wife. Now she’s facing how lonely she is but then there’s Tomás always dropping flirty comments and making her feel sexy and wanted.
These two are practically combustible. They are fire, passion, chemistry, pheromones, and lust all rolled into one. I loved how Tomás was submissive and let Darcy take control. So HOT! Highly recommend this one to anyone who enjoys age gaps and/or taboo romances.
CW: brief mentions of past health issues concerning cancer and hysterectomy, and also death of a husband
