Libro perfetto per chi si vuole approcciare ai fumetti marvel dopo aver visto i film.
Qui ci sono le origin story di alcuni dei personaggi più famosi, rivisitate e con bellissime tavole dipinte. Una storia che non conoscevo era quella di Ghost Rider, bella e interessante. Quella che mi è piaciuta di meno, con mio grande dispiacere, è stata quella degli X Men, perché non l’ho trovata una buona “prima storia”.

Slightly modernized re-tellings of some of Marvels more known heroes. I personally think this was an average read but the art and makes for a great gateway for newbies to learn some origin stories.

A fantastic read for both longtime fans and newcomers to comics.
Jenkins takes the original source material for some of Marvel's most famous characters and injects it with a formula that manages to hold on to the warmth and magic that made these characters famous, while ditching the overdrawn and melodramatic exposition that unfortunately doesn't age quite as well in the 21st century.
Rivera meticulously paints out each scene like a renaissance fresco and you can clearly see the patience and love that went into making these characters shine.
They take comic history and produced a volume that is a heartwarming ode and a revitalization all at once.
