Cute fun easy read and I love the characters and how real and relatable they are. Loving the britishisms of it and they all brought their unique funny charm to page and I had good time reading this book. I do feel that there shouldve been more ren and phoebe scenes especially when the letters is such a huge reason why ren loves the phoebe's words in the first place. I feel like there shouldve been more yearning, more good tension here and there as I feel the ending was rushed and to be tied in a nice ribbon rather than having a realistic, let make sure this isn't just a holiday romance moment but heyo that's my preference 😅 with that being said I did like the found family dynamic and a cute happy ending IS what we really want, I'm just nitpicking. I just wanted more oompf from ren and phoebe 😁 because their scenes were just great and faves ofc. First time reading from lindsey and I'm looking forward to her new release!

This is my First Lindsey Kelk book, and I can safely say that it won’t be my last! I also struggle to find a book to pick up after a book where I was confused so a huge thank you to a couple of Friends who picked this one for me and I knew right from the off that I would enjoy this one and not some 24 hours after starting it then I have reached the end and whilst not wanting it to end I wanted to know what was going to happen to these characters!

Introducing Phoebe Chapman, a 34-year-old who has arrived in Los Angelos on Holiday to stay with her sister Suzanne. While Suzanne thinks that Phoebe is hoping for a much-needed break, the reality is: her ex is getting married in a few days. When her sister is away on an emergency work trip Phoebe is left to start her holiday alone. Until she meets her sister's handsome neighbour, Ren, and personal trainer, Bel. Bel is set on the fact that Ren is the love of her life, but there is one problem; she can't string a sentence together when talking to him. With the help of Phoebe's poetic writing skills, she plays matchmaker for the two, all while pushing her own growing feelings for Ren aside.

I can say that I really fell in love with the characters and this book form the off, Phoebe is one of the most relatable characters in a romance book that I have read in a while.  The concept of the book was so interesting, and I wasn't exactly sure how it was going to play out, but I was pleasantly surprised. The characters are really what sold me on the book along with the settings and humour that is so beautifully woven into the story you forget that it’s a book as you see it play out as a movie in your mind!

Kelk really had the ability to draw me in with her wiring and it’s been a while since I discovered an author that can do this, but it’s safe to say that Kelk is now on this list! This book truly was not what I expected, and I love it all the more for it. I can't wait to read more from Lindsey Kelk!

I love the characters and how well developed they are. They each have something different and bring something special to the table. I felt like I could related to one or more of the characters. I wanted to live in this story forever! I loved following and watching everything play out and that end was so perfect!!

I will continue to read more books from this author, I love the writing style and they are always just so fun! Absolutely an easy 4 stars and will be telling my book friends about this one!!!!

Audiobook and I just presumed the second half. Funny bits about the California setting & culture clash, but didn’t like the setup enough to continue. If I’d been reading the book would have finished, but audio commitment too great

AWESOME!! Thank you NetGalley and Harper 360, HarperCollins for granting me access to this book in exchange for an honest review.

What a heartwarming, fun and hilarious rom-com that takes place in the amazing city of Los Angeles, California!! It's a friends to lovers romance that is filled with angst, tension, humor, love, chemistry and wonderful secondary characters. The book is so unique and not like your typical rom-com and it will have you smiling, laughing and swooning! I absolutely LOVED this book so much!! Literally, could not put it down and finished it in a day. This is my first read by Lindsey Keik and it will not be my last! The author has done an excellent job with developing characters that are so real and relatable. I can't wait to read more of her books! Another book to add to my favorites for 2023!!🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

Phoebe is visiting her sister in LA for two weeks in hopes of forgetting her toxic ex and his upcoming wedding. Unfortunately, her workaholic sister has to take an emergency business trip and leaves Phoebe all alone to entertain herself. While enjoying the pool she ends up meeting the super hot next door neighbor, Ren. The next morning a woman barges into the house claiming to be her sister's personal trainer named Bel. It turns out that Bel has a huge crush on Ren and is so nervous she gets tongue tied around him. Phoebe has given up on love for herself but decides to help Bel. Before you know it, Phoebe is writing love letters for Bel to give to Ren and tagging along on their dates. The problem is that Phoebe finds herself falling for him too!!

If you are looking for a quick, cute and delightful summer read then this is the book for you! I highly recommend this book and it deserves all the stars!💫💫💫💫💫

I really really enjoyed this book. I really liked the writing style and the storyline. I loved the huge summer vibes & where the story took place. I absolutely adoooored Bel, Suzanne, Myrna & Phoebe (such lovable characters I wanna be friends with all of them!!!) ❤️🥹 Such amazing fun women!!! 🌸
(Myrna was my absolute queeeen!!! What an icon 🤣👌⭐)
Ren on the other hand I just wasn't suuuper into. Like he seemed like a sweet guy and all that but compared to other *book men* he just didn't really get to my heart. I still LIKED him but he just wasn't.... "it"... I don't even know how to describe it haha 🤣🙈
The way Ren acted in the last chapter and when
Phoebe had to decide whether to leave or stay
also just felt a little bit "off" and I would have wanted a bit more enthusiasm from his side and a bit more of a "please-phoebe-you-cant-leave" type of situation but whatever. Still a very cute and pretty perfect ending and I am honestly super jealous of Phoebe's new life ahead.
In summary I definitely recommend this book and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it 🌸❤️🌻
