I love the world building and learning the rules of this ice world and different factions at play through the experiences of the FMC.
The middle part starts being a bit too fast paced and full of big revelations, plus a weird reverse harem sub plot that didn't have enough character development to even be a thing(I'm a Thurin X Yaz supporter) shows up out of nowhere... The books spans only a week 😅
Let me warn you the cliffhanger at the end is gigantic, so the urge to read the second book is high!
I hope the next gives the same attention to the explanations of the world, but better connected, and much more characters' depth besides what Yaz thinks (since she is or narrator is a bit difficult) because sometimes she comes off being way to self-centred.
My head is still revolving with theories so it's a book I do recommend ✨

There is disability representation in one of the characters, but I am not 100% on the characterisation of this person. I think it falls into some slightly problematic tropes. If I’m completely honest with you if it didn’t do you that it would be a five star book for me because I like this setting, I really like how it explores themes of rejection, but I will say that there is some triggering things in this book so be careful when reading
