After reading the Starfall Point trilogy, I was maybe expecting too much from this book. I understand the story has to be set up for Moonshadow Cove, but it was a little frustrating. Since the sea witches are in the same universe as the Shadow house coven and even interacted with Mina, it was hard to just keep reading about them having issues with ghost storage. The previous coven already figured out how to use the ghost locks to push the ghosts into the afterlife when they're dangerous, so the sea witches not asking for help didn't make sense to me

This wasn’t my favorite Molly Harper book.

Amanda Ronconi and Teddy Hamilton were great.

The book itself felt a little scattered.

4.5 ⭐️, Molly Harper perfectly captures the coziness of northern lower Michigan again, moving around the island over to Moonshadow Cove. This was such a fun listen, and the narration by Amanda Ronconi and Teddy Hamilton was spot on. At 2.5x speed, I burned through this book so quickly as I ate up all the new world-building in what is sure to be another new favorite series. While I’ve read the first two Starfall Point books (waiting for 3 to come out this year in print!), I think readers who haven’t would be able to jump into this easily without spoiling themselves too much if they go back to the very beginning after. I appreciated the fast pace of the plot while it also balanced downloading a significant amount of new information that will be important in future installments. The Seaworth sisters are each so clearly defined, I can’t wait to see who features next. Thanks to Molly Harper for the gifted copy!
