I have never read about two people more in denial with themselves than Lacey and Shawn. And that’s what turned me off a bit. Plus, I enjoy a HEA as much as the next girl but there was literally no conflict in the book and I just couldn’t wrap my head around it.

Best friends to start so there is already love there. I think these two were the only ones that didn’t see this relationship coming they obviously had the best chemistry from the start.
And when they finally get together it is hot as hell.
My only complain is the book could have been a tad shorter as the outcome was obvious to all.

3.5* very steamy rom com. I liked the characters but it got a bit unrealistic & cheesy at the end. It was also about 50-100 pages too long as it was 415 pages long.

In the follow-up to Camera Chemistry, Shawn Holmes, the youngest NFL head coach in history, and Lacey Daniels, a pediatrician who works in the same hospital as their respective best friends Aiden and Maggie agree to fake date after a video of them goes viral.
I ADORED the first book in this series, so I was naturally excited to read about Aiden and Mags's friends. And boy did it deliver. I loved the ease of Shawn and Lacey's friendship right from the beginning. It felt truly authentic, and the development of deeper feelings was organic. Lacey was witty, sweet, and caring, and the banter between her and Shawn was so effortless, which is a testament to the author's skills. The intimacy was incendiary and, though plentiful, never felt shoehorned in. It only added to the exquisite slow burn development of their romantic feelings. I ADORE a man with a filthy mouth, and Shawn's was sublime. But more than that, he was also so sweet and caring. And, while I loved how strong Lacey was, I also adored how well Shawn looked after her and supported her. Likewise, I loved the moments when Shawn was vulnerable and Lacey was there for him. But I think the thing I loved most about Shawn was his humility. Operation Give Back absolutely broke me, and I was sobbing when they visited Derek and Clara. I've also never cried over magnets before, but there I was, again, sobbing! He was such a sweetheart.
I particularly appreciated the lack of drama and miscommunication. These were emotionally mature people who showed how much they cared through their actions so that when they finally uttered those magical three words, I swooned. It was wonderful to catch up with Aiden, Mags, and Maven, and I can not wait for Dallas's story. Seriously, there were just so many swoon-worthy moments in this book, and you don’t understand how much I love this series!
Shawn and Lacey were couple goals and ADORABLE AF together. And that epilogue! *heart eyes*

I can’t get over the chokehold Chelsea Curto’s books have on me!!!! The characters, the spice, the sweet moments between Shawn and Lacey— all of it excellent. I love the fake dating trope, seeing their friendship turn into more, and finally admitting it to their friends that they stop faking it
I really enjoyed this book! Lacey and Shawn were adorable, I loved seeing their relationship unfold throughout the book!
I also really enjoyed seeing Maggie and Aiden again. Cheesy romance was what I wanted and that's exactly what I got! There were times where I felt it went on just a little too long, but that's alright!
I'll definitely be reading the next book as soon as it comes out!

This was the holiday read I didn’t know I needed. Chelsea Curto is a genius and knew exactly how to write and bring these characters to life. Shawn & Lacey were exhilarating to read and get to know!! I couldn’t get enough of them and their dynamic. We love a good foundation in which these characters have the room to grow!
