This was a little less steamy than "Camera Chemistry" but I found it much more swoon worthy! The last half of the book is just Shawn and Lacey making googly eyes at each other lol. Very very cute.
i’m having a hard time determining my rating for this but it’s somewhere between 3.5 and 4 stars
i think the relationship between lacey and shawn was very sweet, particularly because they started off as friends before becoming something more. i appreciated lacey being a stellar doctor and having her own independence, and the way shawn wanted to take care of her because she’d never had someone to do that before.
i had problems with them going so slow where they’d say very sweet and loving things to each other and then the next moment would say things (internally) like “i don’t know if they feel the same way” etc. and then i also didn’t like how cheesy their dialogue was when talking about each other and their feelings but that could also just be a me problem.
overall a good story without a toxic couple which is always appreciated

I enjoyed the book and the love between Shawn and Lacey but definitely think this book is a bit too long. Could’ve been cut like a 100 pages.
i loved every single minute of this book oh my god. shawn and lacy are everything. shawn is literally the perfect man. he is the epitome of if he wanted to, HE WOULD. this best friends to fake dating to real lovers trope had me SATTTT. i went in blind tbh and it exceeded expectations i didn’t even have

Friends to lovers usually isn’t my trope BUT I ate this up! Lacey and Shawn are definitely soulmates in my opinion, so the development of their relationship and love was so beautiful.
