I absolutely loved this book. I don’t usually enjoy friends to lovers, but this convenience based relationship really has made me change my mind. Such warm fuzzies from the love story, some sexy romance, and Christmas setting that’s perfect for this time of year!

I really enjoyed this one! The spice was great, the connection between Shawn and Lacey was sweet too. I love how well Shawn treated Lacey. He is a true King! There was no miscommunication or third act break up, so I loved that! It also takes place over the holidays, so you get that spicy Christmas read too!

This book is by far one of my top five books for 2023 in romance genre, I loved Lace and Shawn's chemistry, the banter, the spice, their openness. Sports Romance may officially be one of my favourite tropes . The author nailed the fake dating trope so well for me. Shawn also made the top tier book boyfriend list. Prepare to laugh, CRY, swoon and fall in love with this book.

This book had everything! I LOVE a friends to lovers, especially when its one where their feelings slowly build. But add fake dating AND A KISS CAM MOMENT, I'm sold.
Shawn was an absolutely amazing MMC! He was so sweet, caring, and generous, but was also hilarious. The flirting and banter between him and Lacey had me squealing in delight. And the spice? So good and what a mouth on him! And Lacey was extremely caring and supportive herself! They made such a great pair.
There were times where I felt like they didn't act their ages, but that was so minor for me.
This book didn't have a lot of conflict other than their internal ones, but I don't think it needed it. It was a beautiful story and the love amongst them and their family/found family had me feeling all the feels. Can't wait to dive into the next one!

i love love love shawn yawn and lace face. it’s so refreshing reading books about people who aren’t teenagers or in their early twenties because they actually have developed their frontal lobe meaning that they are so much more mature and communicate selflessly. idk it just makes the authors books so readable, i can enjoy the book without the lingering fear that a silly miscommunication is going to ruin the story.
