I really enjoyed the first half of this and I enjoyed the premise but overall I wasn’t obsessed with how the story played out. I loved their friendship and how that was portrayed and highlighted throughout the entire book and I loved the “meet cute” that had them start dating. I enjoyed the sports element and the coaching element and I haven’t read a ton of books where a main character was the coach so that was new and fun. I really wished there was a bit more build up and tension before they first got together because after that I started to loose interest. Because of that I also thought the book was a little too long and definitely dragged on. Overall though I had a fun time I enjoy this world and this universe and I’m excited for the next book.

Hello Screaming from the roof about how cute this book was?

I went into this pretty blind on what to expect, I'm kinda happy that I did.

First and foremost the banter between Shawn and Lacey was TOP NOTCH. Even just them being flirty friends did a lot for me. And then mixing in fake dating? The jealousy of her bringing a date to his game? I'm screaming and pretty much did so the whole book. These two were so good for each other, and the spice? Unwell. Felt like I was interrupting a little.

Truly an entertaining read!
