Good YA. Story telling was well done. I felt the love triangle was a little much (but I get why it was part of the story). It was a little predictable and a couple writing style issues I didn’t care for. But overall the world is very interesting and I liked the heroine journey of the main character.

This was a fun read but there's a specific plot choice I would prefer to have been different and ever since thinking of that I haven't beenable to get that off my mind.

I enjoyed this so much more than I expected!

I only decided to read the series because I had heard if I had any interest I should read it before "Six of Crows" which everyone raves about. I had fairly low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the characters, plot, and slow-burn romance (no spice), and I look forward to the next book in the trilogy!

Liked the beginning then it all went downhill. Don't like Mal or Alina at all. Alina wins award for most annoying character ever. Love the darkling.
