YES YES YES YES YES! READ IT! Side note: the story starts off a bit heavy, but I think that creates a quick bond with the reader to really suck you in and want to keep reading.

Gah! I loved this book so much, I legit devoured it within 12 hours of starting it. I love that there isn’t the typical partner betrayals that you often see in mate books. I’m excited to see what the next book brings!
One thing, I do think the trigger warning needs to be a stronger. Abuse and rape are not the same. It is not explicitly detailed, but it is mentioned and Skye witnesses it more than once.
Other than that, it really is an excellent book, and very well written. The plot isn’t easily guessed and things happen that you don’t expect.

The beginning of this book gives a warning about violence and sexuality so I had expected it was going to be a bit steamy... And well... It's definitely not steamy. I kept thinking it seemed YA to me, aside from the violent aspects. I am hoping book 2 is better. I will continue on in the hopes things get a bit more hot in the next one.
