You are in for a treat with this final installment of the Fae Games!

With the return of the Ke’tain to faerie, life in the human realm should’ve returned to normal. Or as normal as it could be for a newly-turned bounty-hunting-Fae. But the twists just keep on coming for our heroine Jesse.

The mergence of energies between the human and Fae worlds has failed to stabilize with the return of the Ke’tain. If Jesse cannot figure out how to fix the barrier for good, then she may never see her family again. That is, if they survive the destruction to both their worlds as the weakened energy from the Ke’tain wrecks havoc on them all. What Faerie and the human realm need is a miracle. Good thing Jesse “Miracle” James is on the case!

Jesse has grown SO MUCH in the last year since her parents first went missing. She has made many friends in high places, so when she is tasked with righting the wrongs of others and restoring the Ke’tain to its former strength, she knows she won’t be alone. And along the way she will learn to be a Fae whose power knows no limits. Her strength of heart gives her strength of mind, body, and power, and THAT is exactly what makes her so special & able to take on impossible odds. Jesse is certainly someone to be admired.

I would HIGHLY recommend this to readers of all ages. Everyone could learn a lesson from Jesse about loyalty, fortitude, and selflessness to do what is right even in the face of great risk to their self. This book will keep you on your toes, so brace yourself for the punches that come Jesse’s way. And enjoy the ride!

I thought this was still a lot of fun, if not as compelling and tight as when the series started. As we've transitioned more and more into faerie, we've lost a lot of features that I thought made this series shine (the involvement of her friends and family, her agency and decision-making, her balancing act of normal adult tasks (bills and spreadsheets and shopping) with the faerie and bounty hunting shenanigans, etc). The magic and worldbuilding were pretty handwavey to begin with, which was fine when there were lots of characters and different relationships to distract me, but that balance definitely tipped in the wrong direction as the books have gone on. I would have loved to see a lot more of Rhys and his guard and more contrast between the faerie and human worlds. But it was still a quick, tidy, satisfying read and I'm happy having read them all, and wouldn't mind re-reading them some day.

This book was really different from the other two in the series. I feel like this easily could have been flushed out to be more than three books and I would have been really happy to read more of this world. The romance finally picked up even though it was basically a fade to black I was still there for it. I really enjoyed this series and wish we could have gotten more, I am sad it's over!!

I love the Relentless series, and also like the first & second part of the series. But this? What is this?

This reads like a bad teenager romance. Everything is lackluster and cringey. I feel zero chemistry between Jesse & Lukas. Many scenes, that would have been interesting, pivotal, and emotionally-worthy, are practically told after the fact and summarized. Why?

And the great task she has to do ends up so underwhelming. The climax is also predictable. I did NOT wait for months for this. ☹️

This is 3.5 stars. This book moved incredibly slowly until the last 20%.

I was so annoyed with Lucas in the beginning. I understood he couldn't see Jesse but he really couldn't tell her why? Like he couldn't say, "Hey if you see me you might become obsessed with me. See you in a couple weeks." It felt like unnecessary drama and it made me not like him so much.

I also didn't enjoy how little time Lucas and Jesse had together in this book. It made it hard to believe their relationship was genuine. The parts they were together for were magical but they were too infrequent.

Also I do agree with other reviewers that it was crazy to think everyone believed Jesse just because she claimed something to be true. I wish the author would've made either the queen confess or torture the truth out of her.

I hated how Jesse was literally getting hurt every five seconds. Like anything bad that could happen did. She gets poisoned. A boulder falls out of the sky. She gets kidnapped by a Draeken. It just felt like the same storyline was repeated the entire time.

Her quests to reconnect all the Ketains also seemed almost like a pointless subplot. It was an excuse to give us a bunch of useless descriptions of other parts of the kingdom.

The ending over all was anticlimactic and left me feeling a little lackluster.

Love love love

I swear every book I read from Karen Lynch, Iove more than the last one! What a stunning conclusion to the series. I'm so sad it's ended. I'm about to be hit what an awful book hangover, but I know what the cure is. I'll be reading the whole series again from the start!

This book starts right where we left off in boom too. I love the chemistry between Lucas and Jesse. The adventures Jesse goes on in this book was amazing. There was some dark point but at the end it was a fabulous book! So sad this series is over!
