You may not like this book if you are a fundamentalist Christian, as it deals with some of the hypocrisy of a fictional pastor, I'm sure modeled after some real ones. It also deals with an incorrectly labeled fictional Wiccan sect which was much more Satanist than true Wicca.
That being said it was an excellent book, in my opinion, very dark, but a good romantic thriller. However, the end left me unsatisfied. I'd have liked an epilogue of what happened to the town after, and if the MCs made it through.
I found the journey enjoyable, and it had some unpredictable twists. Overall, an excellent book.

Well the narrator did a good job, she didn't do enough tonal shifts for different characters' voices.

Such a great mix of mystery, thriller, romance. Keeps you on your toes with many twists and turns—a few cheesy but most well executed. My favorite so far by this author. Highly highly recommend if you like any of the elements listed above.

loved LOVED her descriptive scenery writing! And her dialogue felt natural. Idk the ending gave me mixed emotions …

Like of course they couldn’t just escape and live happily ever after I don’t think that would have been like believable but it also felt … like a suicide mission that Edward (I’m already blanking on his name this is so awkward) RAN TO LET A PITCHFORK MOB CHASE HIM???????????? Also the plot was barely holding water bc just bc a girlie is obsessed w twilight DOESNT MEAN SHE IS ACTUALLY OKAY WITH SUPPORTING HER LOVER KILLING VIGILANTE STYLE SHE WAS VERY CALM ABOUT THAT???? Felt weird idk! I think the ending just kind of started unraveling
