This is a nice short story that gives a look into the past of Sherlock Holmes and his old friend, Victor Trevor. This is perfect for when you need a quick Sherlock Holmes fix.
Best read with a lamp, comfortable chair, blanket, and tea.

I didn't enjoy the style of retelling in this case as much as in others, not sure why.

This was very bland. It starts out with Watson opening the story, like he normally does. But then Sherlock starts telling him about his first case. It is still in Watson's narrative, so each paragraph starts with quotes. Somewhere in the middle of all that, someone starts explaining to Sherlock what had happened (and explaining for many long pages) so we get another quotation to go with Sherlock's. And a few times that person tells what a second person said, so we get paragraphs starting with "'".

Sadly, the quotes were the only memorable thing about this.

This one was quite interesting! It starts out a bit slow, but I like the turn it took.
