This was the first time I’ve read Katee Robert and I get the feeling this is a little tamer than some of her other books, but it still contains the clear cut consent she’s known for.

It definitely could have used another round of edits. I felt like the story sort of just ended, but I was also glad there was no epilogue since I think the couple was exactly where they needed to be at the end.

This novella was fantastic! Alex and Kendall have the most amazing chemistry. I really want another book for them. (And Kendall's sisters)

Two homebodies meet in the most unlikely of places, a singles cruise. Kendall is on board because she’s meeting up with college friends and Alex is sent by his grandfather to get him out of his rut. This is a fun, sometimes silly and totally sexy romp. Dive in and enjoy.

Kendall and Alex make quite the couple. Both are in desperate need of a vacation, and they both need to loosen up. Alex is a reformed bad boy, who knows how to have a good time even if he hasn't been doing so for quite some time, and Kendall is rather innocent until her inner exhibitionist rears its head. These two tiptoe around the whole romance thing for much of the story, but darned if they don't have a steamy good time anyway. There is some angst, including dealing with the loss of a loved one, but in terms of the relationship, it's easy to see where things are going, and this is a couple that is easy to root for. Katee Robert is a new to me author, and this Gone Wild book is a great introduction.

CW: death of family member

I was nervous to dive into this current world climate but it was such a blast!

Kendall needs to loosen up and Alex is 100% there to help. The steam level is high and really delivers a lot of great scenes. The plot with friends on a singles cruise is perfect!

Super cute and hot novella length romance!

The first book in the Gone Wild series and it was so fun! Kendall, usually the uptight, organised member of the friendship group has accidentally book her friends on a wild party singles cruise. Shocked at what she's done, she meets Alex, who is about as excited to be on the cruise as she is. Alex has left his bar for a weeks vacation and is terrified something is going to happen whilst he's away. When he meets Kendall, their attraction is instant and they decide to have a fling, a romance which is hot, dirty and fun with no strings attached. But when feelings get involved, and Kendall is unexpectedly pulled from the cruise, will they be able to make it work in the long term, or were they always meant to be a fling?

I adored how Kendall was pulled out of her shell, not only by Alex but by the whole situation. She decided to embrace the impulsive party lifestyle of the cruise and opened up a whole new side to her. Alex, always deemed to be the bad boy of his youth, was actually such a sweetheart and was so caring when he let his guard down. He listened to Kendall and learnt about her as a person too, not just at surface level as you'd expect from something just fun.

I can't wait for the rest of the stories about this friendship group, I'm sure they're bound to be as fun as Kendall and Alex's!

It's short, it's sweet, it's spicy, and it's fairly fluffy except for the one big thing in the content note up front. What's not to like?

My biggest complaint is not having an epilogue or more security and closure in these characters. I LOVED the story and omg, the sexy scenes were HOT, but I wanna know more!! D:
