The twist of this book had me shook. I thought I knew what was going on until the big reveal occurred. The pace throughout the book was very constant until the last hour and a half of the audiobook and then it was a rollercoaster downhill in the absolute best way. 10/10 absolutely recommend

OH. MY. The ending?! It'd make Stephen King proud.

Bent Heavens by Daniel Kraus wasn’t what I was expecting, but it definitely kept me entertained from cover to cover. I loved the concept, and the setting, however, the plot took a bit of suspension of disbelief for me. With fiction this is often the case, but in a more realistic fiction (just meaning a story that seems to take place in the real world) novel, this was a little bit harder. I thought that the characters were interesting, though a little one note in some aspects. This book has been in my TBR pretty much since it was released, so I was really excited to read it, and from an entertainment viewpoint, it did not disappoint. I thought it was pretty fast-paced and kept moving throughout to keep the reader interested, but not going too much away at the same time. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat and is perfect for a suspense, thriller, and sci-fi lover.

Maybe I'm not the audience for this. But I don't want Saw but it's an Alien in my sci-fi. This isn't a horror, which is why I picked it up, and then combined with the absolutely unlikeable characters I just can't deal with it.

Not a bad book but not at all for me! This book was not what I signed up for at all, and the ending seemed like it wanted to pile on traumatic thing on top of traumatic thing until it all seemed meaningless and needlessly dark for the sake of shock value. The whole point of the book is that humans are monsters and will use any excuse to justify their terrible actions, but in the end when someone finally tries to do something right, it backfires and causes more pain.

If you want to read about a girl and her best friend graphically beating the shit out of an alien that
turns out to be her father that was injured in an experimental medical treatment
then this book is for you.
