Say it with me y’all, COMMUNICTION IS KEY

Unfortunately this book wasn’t for me. Didn’t like the two main characters at all, so I found it really hard to root for their romance. There were also way too many conflicts, all of which could’ve been solved with a simple conversation. Weren’t enough cute moments, it was mostly just the main character hating on the love interest for something that really (to quote the book) “wasn’t that deep”?? All of this combined with a writing style that wasn’t really my thing made the whole story feel very underwhelming :( 2.5 Stars

Cute fluff, of the type I will inevitably forget I have already read when I see this on another "queer YA lit" list in a few months.

Wlw in an ice cream truck.

Fouland losing her V card ti her best friend Chloe led to misunderstanding.

It was obvious how it was gonna end up together. Though i didn’t expect the twist of their mums. I enjoyed how we got to the end.

While it was hard on both of them, Chloe did plan all those side attractions for Foul.

They’re opposites. Chloe being a go with the flow and foul being so much in her head. But when they’re not hurting each other they keep each other grounded.

I like how Jamie is clearly nit just a back up beat friend. Foul knows that and gives her credit. Jamie is an anchor for foul in a way that chloe couldn’t be.

I enjoy listening to this book and the emotions of transitioning to adulthood.

I appreciate Carmen and Maggie for their ice cream flavoured puns.

I really didn’t like how they ended up together. I just felt like they were so meant to not be together and the way they got together was too short and doesn’t feel sustainable.
The plot was cute and I liked their journey.
