Fascinating read. At times very tragic, but also hopeful and real with interesting modern-day conflicts and issues. So much insight into what 2 people can bring into a relationship and all the outside influences that can affect it. This is definitely one I'll be thinking about for awhile.
Wow! This book is so real. It isn't about one thing. It's about everything. I learned so much!
Honestly I’m not sure how I feel about this one. It ranged from an interesting story about a two people and a relationship to a tedious lecture about various topics.

I'm going to be thinking about this for a long time. A really beautiful exploration of life and how the environment you grow up in shapes the way you look at life as an adult. The writing style was beautiful and reminded me of taking AP LIT in high school. Loved how this made me think and how the characters came alive - I don't think a movie or TV adaptation would do it justice.

It’s hard when your debut novel knocks it out of the park but this book pales in comparison to The Nix. Still readable but I didn’t find myself invested in the characters at all really. And all the psychology jargon made my eyes glaze over.
