“One's own mayhem is always better than anyone else's order.”

Tbh a lot of the conflicts in this felt really repetitive, but I still enjoyed the book and seeing how Abel and Noemi's story came to an end. Thankfully the book is so action-packed that it doesn't let you get bored, although I have to admit I was glad when the book was over.

It was a relief to discover I didn’t have to wait long to see Noemi taken care of. The ending of the 2nd book had me on edge so huge relief. This book was just as amazing at the first 2 I saw a decline in overall rating for this book, but I think the author gave the characters a well deserved ending. Especially with all the factors that came into play. Saving Genesis while also stopping Genesis plus many different groups of people coming into play.

I never mention Virginia in many of the other reviews for the books even though she was a key player in the second book as well as this one, but I love her! Noemi and Abel needed more than I thought possible and she always managed to come through.

Of course like most YA books it has a wonderful and happy ending and with all the battling and tasks that were accomplished by Noemi, Abel, and their friends it was well deserved!

I just adore this damn series, it is super twisty and unexpected! I wish there was more books in this universe!

while i love my rag-tag space crew, i feel this trilogy could have been better if it was condensed into a duology. the first installment was great, but i really think the second and third (average but still enjoyable) could have worked better as just one book. it seemed a lot happened in these two books, but nothing really happened at all, except for the few major plot points? despite this, i still really liked this trilogy and how complex it is with its main themes (religion, what makes us human, ethics and morals, etc) abel and noemi are great main characters, both having a unique voice and the way their romance develops over the trilogy felt very real and believable to me. and while the ending could have been explicated more, i'm really satisfied with the way it did conclude! i'm going to miss these two!

My local Barnes and Noble placed this out on the shelves early - nice.

Now that the series is over, I feel kind of let down that the third book of the trilogy wasn't as engaging or enjoyable as the first two. I kind of suspected something (like being a tad left down) when I saw that it was thinner than the last two books. :/ (I like my prose, especially this book with its take on humanity and the future.)

What I didn't like would probably be a better way to frame this review.

- How easily everything gets wrapped up
- How lame Mansfield was in this one
- The lack of love/emotion (not like I was looking for sex, but you know, it would have been nice to have Abel explore more about love and or his feelings for Noemi instead of just statements and kisses)

While I enjoyed the series on a whole, and I understand it is YA (and that Claudia Gray is really one of the best SciFi writers for YA's out there), I still think it wasn't as strong as the other two books in the series. Maybe there will be a return to the world in the future? Maybe there won't be. All I know is that it's over and now I have to find another series that features a robot coming to terms with humanity and falling in love.

This is the third/final book in the Constellation series.

Following the battle between Earth and the planets of the Loop led by Genesis and its allies, Noemi has been critically wounded and Abel’s only mission is to save her life. Because of the nearly fatal nature of her injuries and his only choice is to put her in cryonic sleep. Her injuries are so severe her only chance is surgery that will replace many of her organs with artificial ones. The only surgeon with those skills is Jillian Mansfield, the daughter of his creator. Jillian now lives on Haven, a pristine new planet intended for the ultra wealthy and influential. His journey to get Noemi there and bargain her life for his own.

The character development in these books is well done. Abel and Noemi examine major issues facing Noemi and her problems adjusting to her new body and psyche that are now bionic. How much of her is human and how much is machine? Earth ‘s continued exploitation of its colonized planets fuel the rebellion by those worlds. The ending was very appropriate but lacked some of the excitement of the first two books. Overall the strong book in the series is Book 1, Book 2 and 3 have lost some of the momentum. But overall the series is a solid 4-stars.
