LOVED this mystery thriller!!!! Kept me guessing the entire time. Highly recommend this book to my friends!
This won't be my last Gardner's book. She is a superb storyteller.
Lisa Gardner will forever be a go to author for me. She tells the story in such a way that you get pulled in, and want to stay up all night and finish. You think you know who the killer is and then a twist comes and keeps you second guessing.
Flora Dane survived the imaginable. Being held captive for 472 days, in the hands of a convicted pedophile and rapist. How can one person get over that kind of time spent with a monster. Just five years after her escape she finds herself entangled with another predator, only this time she came out on top. I didn't want to put this book down and it led me in so many directions. I love that it is set in Boston, as I recognize so many landmarks! I recommend starting this series from the beginning so you get all the back story of this tough as nails Detective D.D. Warren and her crew of detectives, but it can be read as a stand alone.

This isn't so much a review as it is me wanting to say I'm so glad Lisa decided to introduce Flora in this book -- a true kick-ass heroine and a terrific foil for D.D.
