Maybe it's because I had such little expectations for this book because the last two were just meh but this one hiiiiiiiiiiiit! The plot was so intriguing with a bunch of twists and turns. It was giving Van Helsing in the best way. 

My only note would be that the MMC seemed a bit bland but he still had me kicking my feet and giggling sooooooo

Definitely the best one in the series by far!

This was fine. These married to magic books are incredibly formulaic, so I think it was a bit detrimental to have read them all so soon after one another. I also wasn't at all invested in the mystery with the old vampires, and it doesn't have a lot of depth, as the mystery elements of this series tend not to. Ruvan was a decent enough love interest, and I like that Floriane started out wanting to kill him, but their constant fighting and hating each other's kind was kind of meh.

I loved it. This entire series is amazing. 

If you love a fantasy/ romance book with an amazing plot. That has your mind spinning, because you feel like you are in this book and experiencing everything the characters are. Characters that are strong in their own way but unbeatable together, add this book to your TBR. This book has curses, star crossed lovers, non dull side characters and minimal spice.

This one's darker than the previous installments. This is a vampire story with clever nods to Snow White.

It's a little bit slow paced. There are parts which the story lagged. Still, there were so many marvelous layers to this story, I couldn't put it down! Ancient magic, complex histories, blood lore, monsters, secrets, awakened powers, angst and epic romance. I loved the tension, the reality of Floriane and Ruvan having everything they believed challenged, learning to trust each other while overcoming their prejudices.
