Wow! This is a really different book of poetry. Some of the poems are funny, some cute, some angry, some clever, and some I don't understand. I enjoy reading them out loud. The poems are from such different perspectives I need to pause, reread, try another, smile, give up, get angry at Bush and Iraq, laugh, nod in agreement, laugh out loud. I'm glad I found it at the thrift store. I got much more than my $.75 worth.

I randomly came across “The Dog” on twitter after my dog had been diagnosed with osteosarcoma. It made me weep, it perfectly encapsulated Dog. I ordered the book. I must tell you, I wept. There is such powerful feeling in so many of these poems. I am so thankful to that person on twitter who thought to post photos of the pages of that one poem on that one afternoon & for my eyes for seeing it & for my brain for saying “yes, let’s read this”.
