Funny, heartfelt and inspiring.

This brilliant story of courage and kindness was so fun to read. Coupled with the gorgeous illustrations it really told a wonderful story of friendship and familial bonds.

Yet another adorably charming story by Tom Fletcher. His books have so much imagination, adventure and humor.

I absolutely loved the woleb, the creakers, the characters and the adventure!

I listened to the musical version on audiobook as my sons read this one & wanted me to read it too.

How amazing with all the added songs, I’m going to have to let my son listen to it as the songs were so catchy!

I loved how Tom kept popping into the story talking to you as the reader.

Great story as always - I haven’t found a Tom Fletcher book I haven’t enjoyed yet!

Tagurpidi maailmad, varastatud lapsevanemad ja voodialused kollid on küll üsna ära leierdatud teemad, aga siin mõjusid nad siiski vahvalt ja huvitavalt. Raamat kubisem seiklustest, hirrrrmsatest asjadest, uutest sõpradest ja õnnelikest lõppudest. Loov ja lustakas teos, millele erilist vürtsi andsid autori/jutustaja kommentaarid ja vahemärkused.

I may have really liked this book, but my class adored this book! They had so much fun listening to it and figuring it out as I read to them. It was so much fun seeing their reactions and seeing how they still are excited by this book!

I massively enjoyed Fletcher's first novel 'The Christmasaurus' with it's quirks and humour and magic. However The Creakers left me feeling a little more meh. Of course I'm not actually it's target audience but I do love me a good 9-12 fiction (Harry Potter anyone?!)

The narrator chapters just felt a bit too silly and jarring to me, and while Fletcher obviously draws inspiration from Dahl, he doesn't quite reach that man's genius (though really, who can?). The Creakers is funny and clever and while the monsters-under-the-bed trope has been done a lot, Fletcher finds a new spin which was refreshing and enjoyable.
