I like how the book is very minimalistic in terms of the romance. It is refreshing and the mystery and setting is awesome.

I definitely liked this book better than the first. It was a much more satisfying read since there was some degree of resolution at the end. I still feel like the characters are a bit one dimensional with David being particularly hard to root for. I was enjoying the book until I got to about 60% of the way through and realized that nothing had actually happened yet. All of the worth while bits are in the last third of the book. Loved the shout out to the murderinos though that was 10/10

Disappointing. It's not badly written but I swear nothing happens for about 60% of the book. Then some things start to unfold which are very much dragged until the ending with a big cliffhanger (once again). I'd like to know what happens but knowing this saga has 3 more books, I'm afraid the same thing will happen again and I honestly don't think the story is worth so many installments, so yeah, I'm out.
