"There are many other scars, my lord. Beyond the one on her neck."

"I will chherish it always." "No matter what may befall the world." "No matter the oceans, or mountains, or forests in the way."

"For wherever you need to go --and then some. The world needs more healers."

"She could feel it, almost. Like a living band of cool, silken light flowing from her--into him."

I'm suffocating with feelings I can't swallow. Queen Maas does it again and to all those who were planning on skipping Chaol's novel, well guess what? Boo Hooo, it turned out to be ToG6 and follows the same timeline of GoT5.

Chaol ... My Chaol ... Lord Westfall ... Captain of The Guard ... Hand of The King.

This book for Chaol Westfall was very pleasing especially for those who are loyal to Chaol's character, who are a big fan of hi, and I'm one of them. It did him right, he deserved such book, and we all deserved a closure and a new beginning for him.

Chaol Westfall leaves home with Nesry Faliq to a new place seeking a healer who is known for her healing gifts, so he can walk again after that blow which shattered his spine and left him on the chair.

There they meet the new royals, they discover new cities, past tribes and people .... and secrets.

A must read even if you're not a fan of Chaol.

Chaol is just not my favorite. I just can’t bring myself to like him all that much. I don’t hate him. But I was also like.
Yrene. Couldn’t she have better. Glad that Nesryn did find better. Sartaq seems great, hope he lives!
the book was slower than the others, and it was kind of like. Does chaol really need a whole book to himself. Interesting new tidbits about Valg and Maeve.
