It was extraordinary how far cows could run in only a short time.
This was a delightful short story featuring the mischief of hungry dragons. I loved getting a glimpse of Temeraire’s POV, especially his cleverness and how he fretted over explaining his misdeeds to Laurence.
Still, he would not for the world distress Laurence by behaving badly. As always, the thought of his captain woke a secret glow of deep, proprietary satisfaction; he spared a moment to rub his nose over the great pearl-and-sapphire pendant which he wore, Laurence’s gift.

This is a short story available on Naomi Novik's website.
It's a super cute, light hearted little anecdote about the dragons you come to know and love through the Temeraire series of novels.

Awesome short story about Temeraire and Maximus trying to get their breakfast when no people are around to help them.

This is a pretty funny and heartwarming story! I love it when Novik writes from Temeraire’s point of view!
