So, the deal is, this Jennifer Lynn Barnes is ridiculously smart and, therefore, she has performed some sort of sorcery to get me addicted to her books. Because, seriously?!?!? They are so freaking good. I can’t even decide what the alchemy is… the fact that there is no open romance for the MC? The fact that there is a setting that seems so real as to be another character? The interwoven plot points that blend so seamlessly? I genuinely do not know. But it’s perfect. Truly.

Thank you to Netgalley and Disney Publishing for the advance Kindle copy of this book. It is out tomorrow (10/6/18)! All opinions are my own.

⭐️⭐️⭐️💫/5. I love this author, and her story was entertaining as always. A group of debutantes get tangled up in corruption and crime. It did drag a little bit for my taste, but it will certainly appeal to its intended young adult audience. I recommend it for grades 9+.

I really loved this book. I may need to go ahead and purchase the hardback because I own the second book to this series already!

This book was a big meh for me. It started out good and then petered out. I am not invested enough in this story to care about the sequel.

Disclaimer: I received this e-arc via netgalley in exchange for an honest opinion.

Such a great, light hearted read that still had some twists and turns! I loved seeing the debutante season with all the intrigue involved with all of the families. It reminded me of Gossip Girl. I loved Sawyer's personality and I loved that she found some true friends within her birth family.

oh my god.
This book was insane and incredibly Underated a mixture of the inheritance games and the naturals, I was laughing out loud and audibly gasping at the page. The plot twists were insane and they kept on coming. I’ve just ordered the second book so hopefully i can get more answers but oh. My. God.

I can’t wait for more nick and sawyer
