A sweet, beautifully drawn, queer read, but kind of a mess plotwise. Also, pretty much the first thing Lelek does is kidnap Sanja, which is never a strong foundation to build any kind of relationship on.

As a frequent reader of teen graphic novels I really liked this book. It had good pacing and enjoyable art. I liked the main characters and the plot was easy to follow.

The opening premise still doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but that didn't stop me from enjoying this read! I loved the art and character development throughout this graphic novel, and the story is a lot of fun. Always delighted to stumble on books with LGBTQ representation as well!

📚 The gist 📚: A witch kidnaps the daughter of a merchant, and they start to go on adventures together looking for the missing part of the witch's soul.

📒Representation📒 LGBTQ, wlw, bipoc mc, multiple body types, disability (granted, a magical one)

💕 For readers looking for 💕: beautiful art, fun adventures, friendship, romance, magic
