PA CC has been working for a demanding ex quarterback for years. He works her hard, demanding her to always be on call, doing everything from setting making appointments , buying condoms, and dumping his one night stands. She has a plan, she has saved and it's time to move on and find him a new PA. There is only one problem, Wade does not want to let her go. He finds a way to manipulate her and it leads to a whole new complication.
This was a great read, so much fun. There was so much conflict between these two. Wade was a womanizing irresponsible man child and CC responsible one, the one with a plan. She knows everything about him, he knows little about her. She wants to stay on a professional level, he wants to test that line. They couldn't be more oil and water, and that makes the best coupling. Hot, steamy, with a slow build up that is perfect for this relationship.
If you are looking for some snarky, romantic fun, this might be the one for you.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I'm completely in love with Credence, Co and everyone who lives in this small town. Nothing But Trouble is filled with everything I adore about small town romances.

*Great secondary characters, whom I'm looking forward to reading their own stories in the near future.
*A slow-to-build chemistry between Wade and CC which builds to an all consuming inferno.
*Quick witted banter not only between the main characters, but all of the secondary characters.
*A hero that should have been filled with a giant ego, but in his hometown, he was just a regular guy. That is small town living at its best.
*A heroine so full of love and genuineness that the small town accepted her as one their own from the get go.
I could continue this list of things I love not only about small towns, but also what I love about this book, but I think you should really read about them for yourself in Nothing But Trouble.

Wade Carter is "The Catapult" of the NFL Broncos, the town's "number one son" of Credence, Co with three SuperBowl rings in his possession. If anyone asked him, Wade has a pretty sweet life, but when he gets the news that his father's health is failing, he's hit in the solar plexus. Wade decides to take a vacation from everything, pack up and move back home for the summer, taking his PA, Cecelia "CC" Morgan with him, much to her argument.

CC has dedicated the last five and half years of her life to Wade Carter as his personal assistant. She's been at his beck and call twenty-four/seven. Available to pick up Nerds for his candy obsession or condoms for his other off the field obsession. CC is looking forward to her six year contract coming to an end so she isn't exactly thrilled to spend the next several months in the small town of Credence. Packing her bag CC finds herself living in a Gone With the Wind replica style home, nursing piglets, while scheduling busloads of women to arrive in the declining town as a promo campaign to boost the population. Her days working for Wade are never boring.

With Wade trying to finish his memoir while also helping out at his family farm, he hates the idea of strangers arriving in his hometown disturbing his quiet, peaceful place of  rest. He seems to be the only one not on board with reviving the town. Not only does it take CC away from him, the town seems to have taken a shining to his PA, but something about being away from all other distractions has shifted something in him about everything in his life. Could he always have been living with blinders on?

Nothing But Trouble is fun, sweet, full of farm animals, and one hunky NFL player whom can't help but be a bit naive in the love department even after lots of practice on the field. This is one small town romance you need to read this year!

Credence, Colorado may not be on your vacation list but it's definitely going to be a hot spot in the future.

Love and piglets are in the air. I know you're probably thinking that's a typo but it's not. Nothing But Trouble is a whirlwind getaway and small town living experience. She expected trouble but she never expected him. Or at least her reaction to "farmer porn"and "cowboy porn"...

Why she didn't expect a hot former jock raised in Colorado not to be able to rock a Stetson, some jeans that would melt butter, and good old fashioned farm work swear still confused me but hey, she can try and deny all she wants. (She isn't very good at it, btw.)

Fun in Credence may not be what you are used to but with the influx of new blood, I think you will love it just as much as the new transplants!

**I received a copy of Nothing But Trouble from Net Galley and Entangled: Amara in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. My opinions are mine alone and not solicited.**

Nothing But Trouble by Amy Andrews is the first book in her Credence, Colorado series (Please say yes) I hope that Drew, Arlo and of course Wyatt and his lady love. The premise of having single women come to a town for a week-end to find a lonely bachelor has been on the news plus having grown up in a small town of farmers I wonder why other towns haven't done it. Besides are you going to tell Wade's Mama no? I didn't think so.

CC has been Wade's PA for almost six years and even though it seems that she hold his hand by keeping him supplied with Nerds and of course condoms she can't wait for the next 3 months to fly by. She has enough money saved to buy a beach house in California but with news of Wade's father needing surgery has her packing up both of them to live in a house that looks like Tara from Gone with the Wind. Throw in a piglet named Wilburta and George a Australian shepherd who adores CC and you have the makings of a love story. Until she suddenly realizes that dang Wade suddenly in in her sex dreams but will he realize that he's in love with her before it's too late?

Wade is a retired football quarterback from Denver who goes through women like water and leaves CC to explain to them that they were just a blip on the road of life. She keeps him supplied with Willy Wonka Nerds and emergency supply of condoms. He doesn't hesitate to go help out his dad and brother after a health scare. I loved how his high school friends all give him advice when he's clueless as to why CC has left him plus hopefully there will be more of the bachelors of Credence finding their loves in future books.

2023 was my year of free Apple Books romcoms.

I am not the target demographic for this lol. If you want a coworkers to lovers featuring an NFL star turned rancher love interest, then this is for you.

Start of a series in a genre I don’t usually read, Amy created a space I could fall into and be more than happy to stay in.

Okay I read this about a month ago and forgot to write the review. To be honest my first thought reading this was Peyton Manning fanfiction of some sort? 39 year old quarterback of the Broncos? I haven’t read any other reviews about this, so maybe people thought the same. This was free on Apple Books so I gave it a shot.

I liked CC a lot as a character. In fact I think that’s the only reason I rated it a bit higher. Except the whole farmer porn thing. Like could 100000% do without her saying it every other page at the beginning. The concept of hosting an event to entice a bunch of women to move to your small town that happens to have a bunch of good looking bachelors is batshit crazy. The fact it worked is crazier.

Poor Wyatt though, CC just kept describing how much *less* attractive he was than his brother. Adding in his sexual inexperience was just painful too. I felt bad for the guy :(

Glad there was a HEA or whatever but idk this was a weird one for me.
