The twists in this book were TWISTING!! I loved that this book kept me on my toes! This book kept me coming back for more, and I'm not mad about it. From reading at work, to staying up a bit later than normal, to reading at the gas station, I devoured The Final Girls Support Group!

For horror/thriller fans out there, if you ever wondered what happens to the final girl at the end of the movie, read this book. 6 final girls meet up in a group therapy session. 16 years in the making and everything runs the same way until 1 girl is running late and an argument about snacks distracts everyone.

FGSG will have you on the edge of your seat, flipping back pages to make sure you didn't miss a detail. I liked the ending for this, it was fitting and didn't leave me questioning, well maybe a tiny bit.

💙Things I Loved:
🪢The TWISTS!! The way the book was like one of those multi-loop rollercoasters! I went for a thrilling ride with this one and I'm not mad about it!
👩🏼 Lynette her character growth was insane and I loved that she was the main character. She was like the reader, trying to put pieces together as we got the pieces. We kept drawing the same conclusions up until the end😍

Possibly my first horror book, and it delivered. Once I locked into the story, I couldn’t put it down.

Overall this was an enjoyable read and enjoyable story. I did feel at times that the narration was a little immature for the story and the main character was incredibly annoying which is ultimately why I cannot give it 5 stars.

A compulsive read and creative take on horror and the last girl phenomena. Despite not being able to put it down, I also thought it was a bit crazy and the violent and  misogynistic nature of horror movies that is also present in this book is not my thing, even when it's meant as a send-up of the genre.

After watching or reading horror, I always wonder what happens to the survivors once the story is finished. 'The Final Girl Support Group' shows us how those Survivors end up. I enjoyed reading this book, and I loved all the horror movie references in it! 'The Final Girl Support Group' is truly a love letter to the classic slasher genre, and I loved every bit of it. If you are a fan of the slasher genre you should definitely give this book a try!

this book was entertaining although I don't know how much more than that I could say - for a Grady Hendrix novel, I wasn't as captivated or surprised by the course of the novel as I had been with "My Best Friend's Exorcism" or "How to Sell A Haunted House." I like that the story centers around older protagonists and the idea that these women only have each other but I don't think Hendrix fully fleshed out the dynamics of these women supporting each other considering they spend nearly the entire novel fighting and turning against each other. Also I don't know if it's just me or if there's something in Hendrix's writing that makes this really apparent but these characters felt thin, like a man trying to write an older woman's deep inner thoughts doesn't exactly land. i listened to this and the narrator was incredible, though, and it did pass the time on a flight!
