If you are looking for a short but sweet book that is inspiring then look no further than Your Life Without Limits. Born without limbs, Nick Vujicic is an awe inspiring person who instead of getting made and blaming God for his lot in life – he chose to live a life to the glory of his Creator. There were a couple of quotes that really jumped out at me;

“Whatever challenge you are facing, you are blessed in way that will help you find a path through it.”

“The sword is the Bible. You also hold up the shield of faith to defend yourself.”

Nick is honest, he doesn’t always have good days and some days are just downright depressing, however he also knows that the Lord is there as are his friend’s and family who can lift him up. As Christians we aren’t promised a life of ease and we aren’t promised only joy filled days – and as such some times new Christians can become jaded as to their lot in life one hardship after another. Nick relies on the Lord and the Bible to help him fight the lies that Satan tries to get him and all of us Christians believing but his book aims to help you rise above that and get back to where Christ wants you.

I expected more out of this book – I was thinking it was going to be a slow and long hike through a pity party, but it wasn’t. At first I found myself thinking wow – he’s got it bad, no limbs but then as I kept reading he doesn’t want pity, God put him here for a purpose. He wants to share that message with those who are hurting, but he also knows we can’t do it on our own, we must enlist the help of our Lord and those who love us.
