Loved this book cannot wait to read the next one in the series. The twists the turns the mystery of it all
I was a little sad that Avery isn’t Toby’s daughter but at least he still came and thinks of her like his daughter
and we finally get a decision on how’s the love interest at least for know
i can’t tell if I’m upset that it’s Jamie or not like I like Gray but also Jamie is good for her, I can’t decide

It was packed with more mystery and always had to insert a twist than the normal plot twists in history. Many side characters were introduced, and the characters from book 1 stayed true to their personalities. Although there's the frustration of the heroine's confusions and doubts, it showed readers that everything is not as it seems. This was good enough as a duology, but knowing it still has another installment is not so bad as well.

The beggining and the middle were pretty good, if you ignore that
if Toby was Avery's dad, Jameson would be her cousin.
The end felt a bit rushed and I didn't like that
Mellie's plot twist came with basically no foreshaddowing
.
I didn't really why Avery's mom got with Rick and had get if she din't really like him and made a point of not getting with anyone else since she was in love with Toby. Why make Ricky, of all people, an exception? I also didn't like when Toby called Avery his daughter but treated her so differently from Eve.

I'm oh so very confused. This book was marvellous and all but what the hell was going on in the last 100 pages.
Avery gets bombed, put into a coma, gets technically kidnapped from a hospital, survives whatever was actually wrong, then once she's fully healed, she actually gets kidnapped, nearly shot at yet again and still uncovers the mystery and saves the day all in a week. A week. I need whatever drug she was taking because jesus christ, she can't catch a damn break. This girl was just trying to live her life and now she's hella traumatise. What the hell!
I enjoyed this book more than the last. I like that
Jameson and Greyson
were more bearable this time. Last book I thought they had the personality of a wet paper towel. Anyway, good book, 4 stars, keep it up Jennifer!

I really liked the first one a lot. This one was a bit slower.
I also would've loved a bit more space for Thea and Rebecca. They both keep coming back, but only with a bit of info and their love for each other and then they disappear again. It feels like they're there to be in the book instead of being of real importance.

I also would've thought Avery had PTSD after everything what had happened. Like threats...being nearly killed or kidnapped. But she only got panic attacks sometimes, for very different reasons tho. I understand it could be to heavy but on the other hand it would make it more believeable.

Still love Libby and I'm going for part 3 asap. Really hope she and Nash will be a couple.

- overall a good read!
- there was a lot more emotion that i picked up on and i really liked that
- i think libby’s storyline was a little sidelined but there’s also a lot of characters so i kinda get it

I increased the star rating by almost an entire star compared to its predecessor in the series because it was far less predictable and it really kept me wanting to read even more.
