This book was somehow better than the first one!
So many plot twists, I found it hard to keep up with the story... (take it as a compliment)
Never seen a family tree as confusing as the Hawthorne's but somehow it all made sense in the end??? (no wonder Toby disappeared)
And it came with more romantic shit that I ate up so happily!!
I really love Grayson but oh my, Jameson is just so AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH

Again wow. But better than the first, which is shocking for me because usually I don’t find the second book in a series that great. However, maybe it’ll be the third. Lots to unpack. First, I’m on the Avery and Jameson boat. Second, I found this book to be better because one it didn’t feel rushed (entirely) and there was a level of trust between the main characters. Although, this didn’t get 5 ⭐️ because I felt the lead up to finding Toby to be amazing and it just wasn’t. A storage unit kidnapping by Graysons father could have been great if it had not been rushed. Also love that Max is back in the picture, Skye and Ricky are in jail for a crime they didn’t (but certainly could have) commit, Xander if finding his purpose, and Avery and Jameson (swoon). Overall, a great read. I’m guessing the third book is about finding the other boys fathers??
