This book was mid.

I honestly wished somethings could’ve been addressed like Dawn very CLEARLY being neurodivergent and unfortunately being bullied for it. And how Natalie became such a terrible person, without remorse.

She’s a bully with no explanation as to why. She bullied Dawn, and as a child Natalie bullied Dawn’s friend so much that her friend unalived herself. Dawn’s plot for revenge was fine until it got too extreme -pretending she was murdered- but I wish Dawn’s friend got proper justice. Because Natalie isn’t really that sorry for how cruel she was, and didn’t think or care that she was bullying Dawn. Natalie’s a mean person still taking money from her crappy vitamin company and only continues to thrive because she finds out at the very end that the body found in the woods was her other mean bestie Tata, who Dawn probably murdered. Ugh the last plot twist was just unrealistic and lacked much thought.

I think this was my least favorite of Freida McFadden, because too much of the story was too predictable.
