Did I hate it? No. Did I love it? Also no. Completely mid. If I could add a content warning of turtles I would

Honestly quite disappointed in this one. Far less engaging and at points quite boring which is so unusual for FM books.
I also felt really uncomfortable with how Dawn appeared to be treated for most of the book and I don’t think that it was a realistic or fair representation of autism imo.

This book was thoroughly amazing. It was fast paced and the twists kept coming up until the last page. You never know who the characters really are until the very end. A few things were predicable, but nowhere near enough to give this book less than 5 stars. I loved it!

Frieda McFadden does it again. This book was great. Dawn, who is an accountant at Vixed, just wants to fit in. She is a little odd and turtle obsessed. Natalie, the top saleswoman at Vixed, sits right next to Dawn in the cubicles. Natalie has a history of being a mean girl and a bully. One day, Dawn doesn't come to work. Natalie is scared and keeps noticing a bloody turtle on her desk. Throughout the book, Dawn sends emails to Mia talking about her day to day of work and dealing with Natalie. Little do we know, Dawn went to high school with Natalie. Mia is actually Dawn's deceased best friend from high school. Mia was bullied so bad by Natalie and Tara that she committed suicide. Dawn's mission is to make Natalie pay for what she did. The coworker is a gripping page turner. It is definitely a must read book.
