Short, fast, and easy introduction to some important issues. If you have someone around you making bizarre comments about what is considered feminism and it's aspects, recommend this to them. If you have had more advanced studies about feminism, it wouldn't add anything to your knowledge on the matter.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie does it again. So many powerful takeaways compacted into this short book.

If I ever have kids I want to read this book again before (and during) raising them to remind myself how to raise a child who is respectful and feels like they are worthy and valuable.

There were some suggestions/parts that hit me hard that I had never considered before including this one:

“We teach girls that a large component of their ability to love is their ability to sacrifice their selves”

(This resonates with me because I believe that is a large part of how I view love and it made me realize I need to adjust that view a bit)

I highly recommend this book for parents, and non-parents alike!
