This book is full of plot twists that you won’t expect. I love how complicated the characters are. You’ll be surprised how the story unfolds. O’Leary’s writing flows so well. Parts of it felt quite jarring but I’d still recommend.

It was intriguing how all of the three seemingly unconnected plot lines eventually all connected into one massive story. The way O’Leary writes about life makes you understand so much about these characters and their motives. I guessed the twist by the midway point so it wasn’t that shocking to me but i could see how it could have been. Audiobook was performed great, I just think that this is a one and done type of read for me to never think about ever again.

I picked up “The No-Show” expecting a light, John-Tucker-Must-Die type of romantic comedy, but was pleasantly surprised by a much more heartfelt story about the importance of intimacy and connection. I liked that the story was told from the three separate points of view of the main women. It gives the reader an interesting insight into the different facets of the characters and makes the twist at the end that much more unexpected. The beginning of the book started a bit slow and it took me awhile to straighten out all of the side characters in each story line, but towards the midway point the pace picks up and the plot becomes more engaging. This is certainly more of a romantic drama than it is a comedy, so if you’re looking for a light read, this isn’t the book for you. Overall, I think it’s worth the read and will definitely pick up more of O’Leary’s work!

What an absolute wild ride. Definitely a unique 'romance' book, but be sure to prepare yourself for pain. This one is not all sunshine and rainbows. I thoroughly enjoyed the mysterious reveal of the plot. I related to all the characters on different levels. It broke me, but in the best way possible.

Very mid for a Beth O'Leary book. Like it was OKAY but didn't have the spark that The Flatshare or The Switch has. Loved that Miranda is a tree surgeon, would prefer a whole book on her and AJ's characters over this.

I really liked this one. I couldn’t figure out how it was going to work in the beginning and I didn’t see the resolution coming like you so often can with these books. Sweet and sad and hopeful.

I’d like to preface this review by noting that the reason I gave it a low rating is that I was expecting something more sinister. I should have known from the pink cover that it would have had a happy ending. 😆 THE NO-SHOW is about three women who discover they all stood up by the same man…on Valentine’s Day. But, is there more to him than meets the eye?

Beth O’Leary portrays this man as a terrible piece of sh*t so of course, that’s how I think of him too. And I continue to think of him as that for the entirety of the book. So when readers discover he is not as terrible as he seems, I am devastated. How am I supposed to change my views about this terrible-seeming man after he was given a terrible reputation throughout most of the book? This less-than-great experience is a bit of a weird one, but I stand by my rating.
