I stopped reading this book like six times for fear of the cliff-hanger at the end. I was right. The cliff-hanger left me speechless and now I'm so curious about the third book.
The emotions that Term 2 book has brought out of me still have me reeling.
Pandora truly proves her strength, in not only realizing she deserves better but that she can heal from her trauma and control her Magic.
I have no idea how I’m supposed to handle having to wait for Term 3 because no matter how much I knew the cliffhanger was going to be worse than Term 1, nothing could have prepared me for THAT.

5 stars, definitely recommend! Book 2 in this series picks up right where book 1 left off. Read Term 1 first, this review has some book 1 plot included so don't read it if you haven't read Term 1. Just a reminder this is a slower burn, lower spice, high plot series. Lyra Winters is absolutely amazing and I've loved every book of hers that I have read.
TLDR: Amazing grovel from 3 MMCs. She makes them work for it and they work to protect her and make it up to her. The cult of Dark Veil continues to further their agenda and it ends on a heartbreaking cliffhanger.
Immediate regret is the name of the game. The mate bonds for all 5 mates have now snapped into place, but Pandora has just slipped off the cliff into the water below. Dex jumps in and saves her from the water, but they see her scars and freeze. Thankfully Reed comes and takes over CPR to revive her. Dex, Skel and Bram know how badly they have messed up and immediately realize they may never get a chance with Pandora; she might reject their bonds because of how awful they were to her. Thankfully Hunter and Reed are there to support her. In this book, Dark Veil continues to try to infect the academy with dark magic. Dex's parents are continuing to torture him to get him to do their bidding. It's revealed that Dark Veil wants to use Pandora for nefarious purposes. As another attack occurs at the academy, Dark Veil gets their hands on Pandora - will her mates and Father, Death, be able to rescue her in time.

Term 2 was BRUTAL. My emotions were all over the place with everything that happened. There was groveling, so much heartbreak, and that cliff hanger absolutely gutted me. But I’m so ready for more.
Truths come to light, there’s quite a bit of vengeance, and also forgiveness. This was so well written and I just desperately need more.

The way that I love Pandora and would do anything for her!!😭🖤 As always it was so nice sibling right back into this whole world. There was sooo many things I loved about this book. We got to see a lot that I was hoping for like Pandora start to gain more confidence and strength. I can’t wait to continue to watch her bloom into the strong badass I know she’s destined to be. All the groveling we got ugh yesss I wanted to see those men on their knees begging and that’s exactly what we got!
Reed my absolute sweetheart of a dream demon was still oh so perfect. And Hunter being so protective warmed my heart! It’s so hard for me to pick a favorite in this series so far! With all the begging the other three did and how each of them apologized in such different ways that were so in sync with them as characters was nice to see!😭🖤 but omg the ENDING WRECKED ME!!! I’m so excited for the next book!!!
With all the love I’m having for this series my ONLY issue with this book was how repetitive it was. I personally was able to overlook that and still really enjoy it because I adore this story and characters soo much. But it was still noticeable enough that i couldn’t quite give it my full 4 stars. (Goodreads only allows full star ratings booo👎🏼) but anyways i am still very excited for the next book and do still really recommend this series!
