Didn't enjoy the audiobook (full version) as the female narrator always sounded on edge or anxious and there were issues with the overlay when the quicksilver talked. Quite similar in pacing and style to SJM or ACOMAF. If it weren't for bookclub/friends it would've been a DNF and the first 400 pages should be edited way down.

Somehow Callie Hart wrote another Fae book that stood out among the crowd. Despite sometimes feeling like all books involving fae feel the same, I really fell in love with the characters in this book. The relationships that are built during this novel, but friendly and romantic, made it so I could not keep away from reading the next chapter. I am excited for the rest of this series and will definitely be buying!

Esse livro é muito bom! Eu recomendo muito, apesar de não ter gostado do final.

Ele conta a história da Saeris, que vive em um distrito pobre no reino, e rouba para que ela é seu irmão sobrevivam até que ela pega algo de um guarda real e a história realmente começa. Temos muito romance, um ótimo enemies to lovers, parceiros pré destinados, lutas e um mundo fae além do humano.
Recomendo muito a leitura, mas achei o final meio decepcionante por que para mim seguiu a mesma linha do “De sangue e Cinzas” então acredito que o próximo livro não vai ser tão bom quanto o primeiro.

I recommend you read it, even though I didn’t like the ending of it.

This book is really really good!

It tells us the story of Saeris, who lives in a poor district of the kingdom and steals for a living until the steals from a guard and the story really begins. We have lots of romance, a great enemies to lovers, a pre destined partner, fights, and a fae world as well as a human one.

I recommend you to read it but I did think the ending was disappointing because it follows the same path as “From Blood and Ash” so I think the next book won’t be as good as this one.

I didn't like this book or characters, but then I did like it. It had me quite confused and I struggled to connect with the main characters. I really enjoyed the end and I hope the 2nd book will be better as there's a lot of potential!
