Continuing my reread of the run. This volume kicks off the big event, which to my memory didn’t spill out much into the rest of the line. It’s well paced, and it does a pretty good job of getting everyone up to speed on the AoA universe. There’s some fun character interaction, particularly Fantomex and Gambit. The art remains consistent and solid, in part due to Dean Whites incredible coloring.

I just really hate what they do to Angel in this plot. I don't even mind the Archangel stuff, I just really hate how it morphs into Apocalypse. Also, I found it a little bit confusing when they start jumping timelines, and I can't keep track of who is from the main timeline and who is from the other one.
But I really like Fantomex, and Betsy is growing on me.

The art is completely inconsistent and I'm just not into Rick Remender's version of the Age of Apocalypse.
