I think this book is a great read for teens looking to find dystopian science fiction that breaks beyond the white-centric worlds of Divergent, Hunger Games, etc. I love the premise of a world submerged under the oceans and humanity still finding ways to survive and carry on. I also liked the emphasis that clinging to the past and the Good Old Days (TM) is literally going to get humanity killed.

I personally felt the burgeoning romance fell a little flat, but other than that, it was a pretty solid book.
