A classic that deserves every piece of praise it has ever gotten. There was something so special about santiago facing all of these adversities with acceptance and love.

Absolutely superfluous, lacking depth, growth and any meaningful message. Anything this book can teach you you can find it inside a fortune cookie.
This book is an amazing litmus test for differentiating those that say that read and those that actually read.

Boring and on the nose, a waste of time.

I liked it! Probably 3.5. Lots to think about. Much to learn about life and personal journeys and love and such. It was enjoyable but I wasn’t addicted. Had to finish quick to return it to Libby though lol. Finished in the pouring rain on the way to work at the Monroe county fair.
