Loved this as I did the others. It was a little slow to start with the political negotiations that went on but certainly picked up the pace.

It was definitely a rollercoaster of emotions and that ending..... I need to know more.....

Not my favorite book of the series but love it nonetheless. It had a different plot progression from the other two books. It was more focused on understanding the gods and learning about past events in a modern way with the characters. Which I  liked and found interesting, but it wasn't as action packed and groping as the first two books. I do think it set up well for the next book and I'm hooked. I can't wait for the next book!

Whilst out of the three books so far this is my least favourite (due to the heavy focus on world building and lineage) I still looked forward to reading every chapter.

This book follows Violet, and the wider cast, as they look for a cure for Xaden and a method to defeat the Venin overall. This sees them travel across the continent and the smaller isles, hence the focus on world building.

Through this we do get to understand Violets parents better, and the actions they took to protect the Sorrengail siblings.

The ending once again left us on a cliffhanger, arguably the most infuriating of all. I hope the next two books give the ending Violet and Xaden deserve.

I found the lore and plot confusing in this book but I do love the characters (at least when I can keep all their names straight).
