Loved that it started right where it ended with the cliffhanger from the last book. I really enjoyed getting to learn more about Slade and Auren’s backgrounds and thought the multiple POVs and flashback chapters were very helpful to getting to the characters heads. Loved the steamy scenes and how they were all different and used within the plot of the story to keep moving it forward not just for spice. The last third of the book’s tense suspense as to what will happen next kept me pushing to get to the end! Ahhhh Another cliffhanger!!! Can’t wait to see what happens next in Gold!!!

The fourth book in this series. Auren is recovering from her battle. They are recuperating before they can go back to the 4th kingdom. But Auren needs to overcome some internal wounds as well. When they get to 4th kingdom, Manu is trying to get them to agree to release Auren to the trail for Midas’s death.
Slade does let Auren go. Manu kidnaps Auren and almost kills her. Slade. Just barely saves Auren, but does so by sending her back to the fae world. He can not get in from the new rip in thebworld he made. And when he returns to his original rip it is no longer there.

Easily the best of the series, but that cliffhanger ending though!! The spice between Auren and Slade peaks in this book. But I knew during that ONE scene it was cause everything was going too well despite having 15% of the book left! Also why Argo?? The poor baby did nothing to deserve such treatment!
