Too long and in need of a good edit. Pacing was slow again for most of the book. Enjoyed the multiple POVs though.

This might have been my favorite of the series so far- I like seeing Auren and Slades relationship grow and her grow into herself. Also the politics is getting intense

Loved that it started right where it ended with the cliffhanger from the last book. I really enjoyed getting to learn more about Slade and Auren’s backgrounds and thought the multiple POVs and flashback chapters were very helpful to getting to the characters heads. Loved the steamy scenes and how they were all different and used within the plot of the story to keep moving it forward not just for spice. The last third of the book’s tense suspense as to what will happen next kept me pushing to get to the end! Ahhhh Another cliffhanger!!! Can’t wait to see what happens next in Gold!!!

Glow is the third book in the Plated Prisoner series. Gild is the first book in a fantasy romance series following a girl named Auren who is gold touched. She has lived in a cage in a palace with King Midas for what feels like her whole life but she doesn't mind. She's in love with Midas and would do anything for him. But when different plots start to come to light and Auren is let out of her cage for the first time, she finds that everything is not as it seems.
I really loved this fantasy romance series so much! The strength of this book series is in its characters and Raven Kennedy really leans into that. I loved seeing Auren and Slade growing as characters. One of my favorite parts of this book was reading Slade's past and learning more about his past growing up. I really loved the way this book was split between those two perspectives plus the other perspectives in this.
When I wasn't reading this book, I was thinking about it and wondering where it was going to go next. I really love how this book leans into the political elements of the story and how we learn even more as the series goes on. This book made me so excited for Gold and I cannot wait to read the last book when it is out.

The first book in this series I thought was long as it was mostly just set up, but interesting enough it kept me engaged. The second book I really adored. The third book felt like it dragged on and was way longer than it needed to be. This book, the fourth, is just painful. The writing is SO slow. So little happens and yet there are so many chapters with so many characters narrating. The writing just also feels overdone. Not every detail needs to be explained in painful detail. It also feels so repetitive. I really like the idea of this series, and I like some of the characters, but this book is making me not even care about them. I was really rooting for the love interests going into this book, but I just feel so bored and over them now.
