I cannot even fathom finishing this, especially with the random inclusions of Rissa and whoever that dude is cause that could be a whole novella but the three chapters is just Auren and Slade 2.0.
Also, the disrespect towards sex workers is a no go because we love sex workers on this page xoxo

whilst some old questions were answered, so many new ones emerged. we learned a lot about slade's powers but i was confused about
the sex scenes were very...creative! ngl there was a major tone shift whenever they arose. gone was the fantasy feel, and in came the real-world 21st century porn script. still hot though. very funny too.
glow is a book where you have to just along with the plot. i'm so invested in the series at this point.

One of the things I enjoyed most about this book was that we got to learn so much more about Slade and his past. A lot of his past thus far has been left a mystery and I really like that we, and Auren, got to learn so much more about him. It was nice that Auren and Slade both acknowledged that they don’t really know much about each other. They are for the most part (very well acquainted) strangers, especially since Auren was still learning so much about herself and who she is after years of abuse. Auren’s journey of self-discovery and acceptance throughout this book and how it was mirrored by her use and acceptance of her powers was great to finally see after several books of her experiencing a lot of abuse and self-doubt. Glow was very much a transitional book, but even with this obstacle, Raven Kennedy still found a way to provide a compelling narrative that served a purpose to the characters.
I usually am not a huge fan of the random POVs from minor side characters that happen throughout the book. I will be fully engaged in the main storyline until the chapter ends and I am forced into the head of a character that I don’t really care about. Despite my dislike of POV jumping, I really enjoyed the blossoming romance between
Overall, I really enjoyed this sequel and cannot wait to read the next installment.

But another amazing book and great continuation in the Plated Prisoner series.
I loved getting to learn more about Slade and his family. He’s an interesting character and I love and support everything he does. His support of Auren, and letting her heal and grow at her own pace while also still applying pressure was great.
And Auren, my girl, I will never not love and support her decisions. I just want my girl to be happy. To be safe and loved. While it could be slow at times, I think it was necessary to see her work through her trauma. And she still is working through it. But she has a support system that wants nothing but the best for her.
The ending absolutely destroyed me. Because there are so many questions and I’m so excited to read what happens next.
I just want ALL my babies alive and loved up.
3.5/5 on the spice scale. Slade and Auren are some people who love to love and have sexy time. I love it all.

man this book is did an excellent job of working through characters’ trauma, doing more digging into who they are, and overall healing for Auren after all she’s been through.
There was a lot of shit that didn’t need to be in this book, the Osrik and Rissa stuff was such a waste of time (if you’re gonna do them, do them right? Don’t just do two chapters and expect me to give a shit about them when we could be spending more time with Auren and Slade? Stupid), and I find this author likes to be veeeerryy wordy and flowery, taking multiple paragraphs to make the same point in different metaphorical ways which also wastes my damn time. Also the pacing felt very all over the place, and that made pushing through this brick of a book a bit of a challenge.
that being said, the plot was enjoyable and exciting, the smut is absolutely filthy in the best way, and I still love my babies Auren and Slade.
