Norse Mythology is a book written by Neil Gaiman and contains stories from the Norse Mythology. It contains the stories about how the world began, how were the different Gods made, how they interacted with each other, and how the world is going to end - all according to the Norse Mythology.
I picked the book just because of Neil Gaiman. I read Good Omens and was motivated to read other works of his. I didn't really realize that this was a collection of stories at first but as I went along further in the book, I found myself looking for more stories. The way Neil Gaiman has narrated the storied was lovely. I never really thought I would end up admiring Loki and would find Thor a little dumb at times. All I ever had a reference for both these characters were the Marvel Movies and they make Thor more of a hero.
One of the good things about the book being a collection of stories is that you can read a story and put down the book and pick it up again later - you don't have to read it all in one go. However, I did just that - read it all in one go.

I had a very rudimentary knowledge of Thor and Loki, but I've never really dug into Norse mythology. Gaiman's take on the old tales is amazing. He breathes life and humor and heartbreak into the stories in a way that makes this collection stand out from any other collection of myths or folktales that I've read.
I listened to the audio version, which he narrates himself, and it was such a treat.
Highly recommended: a perfect choice for cold winter nights, and a great way to help Rick Riordan's Magnus Chase fans expand their horizons to this amazing author.

Neil really wrote this book in a very entertaining way. It makes it ease to read and you get through the book very quickly. I'm in love with the glory and galore of the Norse mythology, and her characters. I'll definitely reread this book, simply because I enjoyed it so much.
